To qualify for a free Wind Turbine you must:

  • You must have a wind speed of 5.5m/s at 25m above ground level.
  • You must own the land you wish the turbine to be placed on.
  • Be prepared to enter in to a lease for 20 years.
  • In order to pass planning restrictions, the turbine must be a minimum of 250m from any dwelling, and 40m from the nearest road. It must also be at least 100m from any trees.

  • Low cost electricity as little as 3p per kWh if your wind speed is between 5.5 and 6.0m/s
